Rides Schedule
We welcome all riders, but we do require that you do your best to follow our Best Practices to make it a fun and safe ride for all. If you are new to the group and not sure of the route or level you plan on riding, check with a ride coordinator before the ride to confirm that there will be someone to stay with you in case you are dropped.
Our policy is to maintain a consistent schedule, however we might delay a start or cancel a ride for rain, high winds, or low temperatures. Please check our Facebook Page for last minute changes or additions.
All rides have a short re-hydration stop built-in. Most rides end with a bit of socializing and tall tale telling at a favorite coffee shop.
Tuesdays
~30 Miles at 18-20 MPH
This moderately paced ride leaves promptly at 8:00 AM from the Brannon Center, 105 S Riverside Dr, New Smyrna Beach. This ride is a loop south to Maytown Road in Oak Hill. If we turn left we do a run along the river, if we turn right we head home via the Edgewater bike trail.
Thursdays
~25 Miles at 16-18 MPH
~30 Miles at 18-20 MPH
The 25 mile ride is an easy ride that focuses on accommodating less competitive riders or those who just want to take it easy. We work our way south and pick up the trail at the NSB Daytona State campus and ride to about where Maytown Rd crosses the trail. It's an out and back, so if you want to turn around early, no problem: we'll pick you up on the way back.
The 30 mile ride is the Tuesday ride all over again.
Saturdays
~30 Miles at 17-19 MPH
The ride leaves promptly at 8:00 AM from the Brannon Center, 105 S Riverside Dr, New Smyrna Beach. This ride is essentially the Tuesday/Thursday ride but with an enforced calmer pace and no go-fast option and normally takes the bike trail on the return leg.
Sundays
~24 Miles at 17-19 MPH
~32 Miles at ludicrous speed
The 24 mile ride is a kinder, gentler ride that leaves promptly at 8:00 AM from the Cow Creek Trailhead (Cow Creek Rd, 4/10 mile south of SR 442). It's an out and back on the trail with a break and turn around at Vergie's.
The 32 mile ride is for those with a need for speed. It leaves promptly at 8:00 AM from Rotary Park, 902 W Park Ave, Edgewater. This ride is also an out-and-back on the Edgewater trail to Vergie's for a break and turn around there. If you are new to the group it is best to ask on Facebook if anyone is riding that particular Sunday as the guys might be out surfing instead.
